The Hype Class("we", "us") helps parents recover class credits and helps activity studios manage scheduling, waitlists, and parent communication. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use our website and mobile apps.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, phone number (optional), and timezone.
- Family and studio data you enter: children, providers, class schedules, attendance, and tickets.
- Communications: emails and SMS messages processed to coordinate make-up classes and waitlists.
- Usage analytics via PostHog to improve product reliability and features.
- Device and app diagnostics required for authentication and crash reporting.
How we use information
- Provide credit recovery workflows for parents and operational tools for studios.
- Send transactional emails and SMS related to absences, make-ups, waitlists, and reminders.
- Authenticate users and secure access to accounts.
- Improve the product and support customers.
Service providers
We use Supabase (database and authentication), Postmark (email), Twilio (SMS), PostHog (analytics), Vercel (hosting), Expo/EAS (mobile builds), and AWS Bedrock (AI parsing). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
Data retention and security
We retain account data while your account is active and as needed for legal, billing, or operational purposes. We apply industry-standard security controls including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and signed webhook validation.
Your choices
You may update profile information in the app, request account deletion by emailing admin@thehypeclass.com, and opt out of non-essential analytics by contacting us.
Children
Parents enter information about their children to manage classes. We do not knowingly collect direct account credentials from children under 13.
